Happy Halloween

This post is a wee bit late, but I still wanted to get it out.  We had a great Halloween filled with family, treats, and three very excited trick or treaters. 

Ava decided earlier this year that she was going to be a witch, which I was really excited about.  Every year so far she has been a princess, fairy, etc, so I shouldn't have been surprised when told me that she wanted to be a "pretty witch."  Of course! Are there any other kinds?  This meant hair curled, red lipstick, make-up, and glitter spray.

Taters has been on the Captain America Crusade and I was just relieved that his costume made it TO Halloween.   It has been wore A LOT.  You cant see it, but underneath that Head mask, his hair is blue. "Just in case, it falls off Mom."  His energy plummeted though half way through trick or treating and he ended up falling asleep on David's shoulders, only to be awakened at each door.  His candy is David's candy.

Elle looked so sweet as Little Red Riding Hood and she did a great job trick or treating, even though she preferred to ride in her stroller until we would get close to a house and then she would get out to walk up to the door.  She would also eat her candy between houses. 

David dressed up as the Incredible Hulk and I got a picture of him and Tate together. (must remember to post it.)  Its stored on the camera along with like 90 other pictures, I'll get to it... one day.

And me?  I dressed up as a tired 7 1/2 month pregnant lady who was just grateful that everyone else was ready. (must remember to post a picture on that too)

Is something wrong with me?

I just finished Season 3 of the Vampire Diaries on Netflix. (Are you asking yourself, "Does she do anything else besides watch Netflix?" and the answer is, "No, it makes folding laundry go by way fast.") I want to pose a question that's kinda unsettling. 

Why am I always rooting for these main character girls to be written out?  Goodbye Elena.  I felt the same way about Bella in Twilight.  I was ready and eager to see her go, even rooting for her demise. Farewell Bella. 

Could it possibly be to make room for a new female lead, one by the name of Aimee Fawson perhaps?

Here we go

Downton Abby.  Have you seen it? My sister started me on the show and I love it.  Life would be so cool if you were a Grantham, not so much to be one of the servants.  You have to watch this.  Thats were I have been for the last few months.  To busy with Downton Abby to blog. 
Besides watching Masterpiece theater (you have to say it with a English accent) life has been busy.  Im still working with DCFS, Ava started 1st grade, ( I got roped into being the room mom again.  Boo) Tater's is in preschool, Elle is busy screaming at the top her lungs, David has been carpeteering, Oh! and not to mention, I have been gearing up for Baby #4.  Only 14 weeks to go.  I really wish I had some housemaids to help with all those diapers.

Bigger

The other day I was busy crying to David about how fast the year has gone by. How could it already be the end of March? Then I got even more worked up thinking how big Ava, Tate and Elle are getting. I started thinking about how one day Tate would fall in love, Ava would be a Bride, and Elle would go to college.

The small triumphs and ins and outs of every day life, bring so much joy and satisfaction to me. Im becoming one of those parents who want to grab time by both hands and shake him down a little, just to give me a little while longer before they get any bigger.

Valentines

Was Valentines really over a month ago? Time flies. I cant believe it. I've wanted to post, I've thought about blogging, looked at my blog 100 times and never did it. So here it is-late.

This is what we did for Ava's Valetines. They turned really cute and I was happy with them. I tend to get really into the crafty school stuff and almost would rather just do it myself, which I know kills Ava cause she is into the crafty school stuff too. She was a pro at the stapler by the end, and I only had to go back and fix a few...when she wasnt looking. I'm horrible.
