Groovefest

Every year Cedar City hold an annual Groovefest. Groovefest is where bands come out, people sell things, they have food and things for kids. It is three days held by the library at City Park. It reminds me of a really low low key Woodstock. (Sorry if this is a bad comparison.) Ava and I decided to go this year. We walked around and saw all the little tents where people were selling things and bought some bracelets from my friend Susie, who I work with. Ava liked the music and sat in the chairs listening and pointing to the three women who wearing tie-dyed skirts and hippy dancing in front of the stage. There were a lot of people there and it was fun to be out and about. Here she is contemplating the lyrics to some music and processing the flowery movements of the dancers.
However, despite all the jumpy centers, sweets and music her favorite part of the day was the swings where we played for over and hour in the 90 degree weather. It got so hot that we had to get some dippin dots at one of the tents. I almost bought her a tie-dyed shirt but resisted the urge.
