The many stages of facial hair.
After five weeks of us being in California and David all over, he finally came to San Diego on his birthday. I picked him and his facial hair up from the airport. I was surprised at how good he looked with a beard and his long hair. I had been nagging him for weeks to come to San Diego clean shaven and with a haircut and of course he didn't. However, once I saw him, I thought, "okay- I can do this look. I actually like it." David said however that it was itchy and so the following morning, the many stages of facial hair began. It started out with him just shaving the sides of his face, then to the cowboy musty and finally all the way off. Throughout the process, I had to take pcitures as he shaved and Ava made trips to the trashcan for cleanup. The end result was a clean shaven David still with long hair.
I am sad to admit that I like the beard and do miss it. The nice thing is that I am sure he will let it grow back and how fast that happens!

That is so so funny! I remember when he was growing out a moustache when we were in cedar and we laughed so hard. What a funny guy! You guys are awesome. I hope all is well with that adorable baby of yours and Ava!
ReplyDeleteAimee, Dave did try (almost) to get a haircut when he was in Grantsville. He stopped by in the middle of my daughters B-day party and said he had promised he would get his hair cut for you. He said he would come back another day to get it cut... but you know Dave... that didn't quite happen : ) Wow! the moustache picts are pretty funny... he could easily get a job selling used cars with that look. : )
