Smitten

For weeks I have been waiting for the newness of Tate to wear off for Ava and surprisingly, it hasn't. The neat thing is, Tate loves her just as much as she loves him. He will lay on the couch by her and just gaze at her and smile. He even tries to talk to her and when she laughs, he tries too. Ava tells me at least once a day how much she loves her baby brother and I know exactly how she feels.
My baby brother now towers over me and isn't so baby anymore but every time I see him, I still feel the way Ava seems to feel about Tate. I hope that they always feel this way about each other and although I know that they will fight and be mean to each other- I can always remind them that at one time- they were smitten by the other's presence.
